Curious to know what S.T.A.C.S is all about??
This Forum is for those of you who have Asperger Syndrome, who live with Asperger Syndrome, work with AS people or if you have an interest in AS information. Please register to use and contribute. S.T.A.C.S is a group for people who have experience of Asperger Syndrome. AS is not visible, but is a form of Autism affecting the way people interact with others and the world around them. Communication, socialising, imagination and relating to life in general are all affected. Often an AS person will be described as a 'loner', preferring to stand on the outside of groups or family life just observing. They sometimes appear to 'not get it' when confronted with other peoples emotions or social situations. They can often react in inappropriate ways. AS people can be of average or above average intelligence with no obvious outward signs of Autism. A few of the common symptoms of AS are: Being a loner, aloof or passive, poor or exaggerated eye contact, lack of empathy, difficulty in group situations, can't initiate small talk, love of routine and distress at changing routines, obsessional behaviour, clumsy and poor co-ordination, nervous tics etc. Please feel free to view information in this Forum, but you must REGISTER to do so. - 0 Topics
